Our Gift to You During These Difficult Times

These are challenging times for everyone. The world seems upside down: jobs have disappeared, we have to keep distant from one another, and many have been staying inside for what seems like an eternity.

So we’re giving you a gift: You can now rent our films ALASKA FAR AWAY and WHERE THE RIVER MATANUSKA FLOWS for only $.99.  That’s right – less than a dollar. The rental period has been extended to three months, so you’ll have ninety days from whenever you rent the film or films, so you can watch whenever and as often as you like. Just click on the “Buy/Rent/Watch” tab above, and click again under each film for “Stream and/or Download.”

ALASKA FAR AWAY, and our companion film, WHERE THE RIVER MATANUSKA FLOWS, are particularly timely as people face tremendous challenges of personal hardship as a result of Covid-19. These films take us back to the Great Depression – another time of widespread unemployment and deprivation – sharing stories of people whose lives were transformed by an innovative government program designed to give them a chance at a better life.

ALASKA FAR AWAY has been enjoyed by millions of people around the country on public television and at film festivals. For those who want to dive deeper into the story, WHERE THE RIVER MATANUSKA FLOWS offers more in-depth interviews with the people who lived this adventure, and who built what is now the thriving community of Palmer in the beautiful Matanuska Valley of Alaska.

Both films are suitable for the entire family. Please enjoy them at this bargain price. In the meantime, we hope you and your loved ones stay well, stay safe – and don’t forget to wash your hands!
